Ethan Gasta

Drone Robotics Engineer at Lucid Drone Technologies, Inc.

Ethan Gasta has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering. Ethan started their career as an Undergraduate Material and Optical Research Assistant at Tulane University, where they built and programmed an optical and cryogenic system for measuring the Magneto-optic Kerr Effect.

Following this, Ethan worked as a Research Assistant at NASA Ames Research Center, where they researched and designed digital lattice materials and constructed an autonomous assembly robot for assembling cellular material components. Ethan also contributed to the design and testing of experimental airplane wings made from these materials.

After their time at NASA, Ethan transitioned to the role of Rapid Prototyping Technician at Tulane Makerspace, where they operated and maintained 3D printers, laser engravers, and various machinery. Ethan also acted as a mentor and teacher for students using the facility.

Ethan then moved on to work at Black & Veatch as a Process Optimization Engineer, where they played a key role in integrating autonomous drones and skid steers into utility-scale solar and wind construction projects. Ethan conducted cost and efficiency studies, as well as assisting with project planning and budgeting.

Currently, Ethan is employed at Lucid Drone Technologies, Inc. as a Drone Robotics Engineer, focusing on drone technology and robotics.

Ethan Gasta completed their education history as follows:

From 2021 to 2023, they pursued a Master's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Robotics and Controls at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Prior to pursuing their master's, from 2014 to 2018, Ethan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Tulane University.

Before entering college, Ethan completed their high school education at South Windsor High School from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their High School Diploma.
