Monique ten Kortenaar serves as the Master Distiller and Manager of The Lucas Bols Distillery since July 2013, overseeing cask management, product marketing, and PR initiatives while leading innovation and research projects. Monique has extensive experience in distillery management and quality assurance, having held roles such as Distillery Manager and Quality Manager at Lucas Bols and Wynand Fockink. Additionally, Monique co-founded Aletta Hanemans Gilde, a guild for female brewers and distillers, and acts as the Dutch Ambassador for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. With a background in food technology and various roles in sensory analysis and product development, Monique has also established The Link Spirits to connect distillers with bartenders and guests. Education includes a certificate in Food Technology and a diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technique, alongside training in music and vocal coaching.
