John Devos is an experienced professional in the fields of photography, art, and cultural education, currently serving as Co-Curator for "De Kleuren van het Alledaagse" at the Belgian Embassy in Kinshasa since May 2023. As a Correspondent for The Eye of Photography for Belgium and the Netherlands since September 2020, John has been active in writing and reporting on photographic art. John has also held various roles in academia since 1986, primarily at LUCA School of Arts, focusing on development cooperation projects across multiple continents and teaching subjects related to media, photography, and culture. John has contributed to the field as a Reviewer and Curator in various publications and exhibitions since 2002. Prior experience includes roles in socio-cultural development, academic research, and editing publications on music, showcasing a diverse career dedicated to the arts and media. Educational background includes studies at Ghent University and training as a librarian.
