Deborah Afflu currently serves as the LSESU BME Officer at the LSE Students' Union, advocating for Black and Minority Ethnic students' concerns and supporting the Sabbatical Officers in initiating change. Deborah is recognized as one of the UK’s Top 150 Future Leaders for 23/24, awarded for leadership demonstrated as President of the LSESU African-Caribbean Society. Additional experience includes internships with the Civil Service Fast Stream, London Economics Ltd, and the Mental Health Foundation, among others. Deborah is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Social and Public Policy & Economics at the London School of Economics, following A-level studies in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, and French at Suffolk One Sixth Form College.
