Georgeann Burton, MA, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources management. Georgeann recently joined Loyola University Maryland as the Director of Compensation and HR Operations, where they oversee the administration and compliance of the university's staff and administrator compensation plan. Prior to this, Georgeann served as the Human Resources Director at UM Upper Chesapeake Health, where they managed all aspects of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation. Georgeann also worked as the Director of Human Resources at Carroll Independent Fuel Co, where they developed HR practices and objectives to create an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. Georgeann has also held HR management positions at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center and University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, where they managed daily HR operations, supervised staff, and implemented policies and programs. Georgeann began their career as an HR Coordinator at Johns Hopkins, where they assisted in recruitment and conducted salary surveys. Throughout their career, Georgeann has demonstrated expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, and HR policy development.

Georgeann Burton holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development/Human Organizational Learning from The George Washington University. Georgeann also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology & Business Administration from DePaul University. Additionally, they are certified as a SHRM-SCP by the Society for Human Resource Management.
