Ed Zimmerman is a prominent venture capital professional and attorney with extensive experience in supporting underrepresented managers in the industry. As the Founding Partner at First Close Partners since November 2020, Ed focuses on backing venture funds led by individuals from historically marginalized communities. Ed also co-founded The Historic Fund, which provides venture capital investments to Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Additionally, Ed serves on the Board of Advisors for Ada Ventures, and holds board positions at Fisk University and Black Women Talk Tech.
