James Husband is currently the Health Equity Coordinator at the Louisiana Public Health Institute. Prior to this, they worked as a Facilities Administrative Specialist at CrescentCare from September 2016 to February 2022. James also worked at The OUT Foundation. In their current role, James is responsible for coordinating and implementing health equity initiatives within the Louisiana Public Health Institute. James also provides technical assistance to health equity stakeholders across Louisiana.

James Husband has a MPH from LSU Shreveport and a BA in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Behavioral, Public Health, and Gender Studies from the University of New Orleans. James also has certification from the CITI Program in Biomedical Research and the CITI Program in Public Health Research.
