Tara Cook Davis is an experienced educator and arts professional with a focus on dance. Currently serving as the Magnet Coordinator and Arts Educator (Dance) for the Los Angeles Unified School District since October 2015, Tara has also held positions as a Teaching Artist at The Music Center since June 2010 and as a Dance Educator at Bright Star Schools from August 2014 to June 2015, where the goal was to provide students with a variety of dance techniques. Previously, Tara worked as a Maintenance Choreographer at Disneyland Resort and as a Show Director for Stiletto Entertainment, overseeing choreography for performances on Holland American Line Ships. Early career experiences include working as a dancer at Walt Disney World. Tara holds a Master's degree in Education and an Administration Credential, along with a Teaching Credential in Physical Education and a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, all from California State University, Long Beach and California State University-Sacramento.
