Sara Palmer is an experienced AAC Consultant and Speech and Language Pathologist at Los Angeles Unified School District, where collaboration with teachers to develop functional communication systems for special education classrooms is a primary focus. In addition to this role, Sara serves as the UTLA Chair for Speech and Language Pathologists. Previous experience includes working as a Behavior Therapist at IECP, implementing behavior intervention strategies for clients with developmental disorders and emotional disturbances, and an internship with the Episcopal Urban Intern Program, where extensive work was done with young children facing severe behavioral and social challenges. Sara holds a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University.
