Grzegorz Remiasz

Grzegorz Remiasz has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Grzegorz started their career as a Service Technician Supervisor A+ Certified at Fry's Electronics in 2007. Following that, they worked as a Helpdesk Technician at Restech in 2010. In 2011, Grzegorz founded their own company called Rembit Systems, specializing in computer repair and website design.

In 2011, they also joined Tribune Company as a Software Developer Intern, where they performed an audit on the regression testing process and worked on minor security fixes for a Rails web application. Grzegorz was later promoted to the role of Software Engineer and then Software Engineer II, focusing on frontend development using Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and Ruby on Rails feature implementations.

In 2014, Grzegorz joined Tribune Publishing as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they worked on features to improve paywall and registration systems, deployment procedures, and assisted management with requirements and troubleshooting. Grzegorz also played a key role in migrating the paywall, registration, and video infrastructure to AWS.

At both Tribune Publishing and Los Angeles Times, where Grzegorz currently works as a Senior Software Engineer, their responsibilities include developing and maintaining workflows for video ingestion and feed infrastructure, designing and implementing a registration system, improving load times and performance of existing systems, and interviewing and onboarding Front-End engineer candidates.

Grzegorz Remiasz earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they studied General Studies at College of DuPage from 2007 to 2010.
