Brittany Johnson

Post-Master’s Fellow at Lorenz Clinic

Brittany holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of St. Thomas and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University.

She has experience working with children, families, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and has worked with many individuals and families who have experienced trauma in their past.

When she meets with her client’s, Brittany strives to be non-judgmental, relational, strengths-based, collaborative, and trauma informed. She adjusts her approach based on each person’s need and draws from psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral theory.

One of the most insightful things she’s learned while on her mental health professional journey is the great potential for growth and renewed hope that can come from simply taking the time to collaboratively gain understanding and insight about identified problems and patterns.

Maintaining the dignity and worth of each person is paramount in the mental health profession and as a mental health professional, Brittany often sees individuals and families during difficulties. It is her hope that when she works with clients through difficult times, they leave feeling respected, validated, equipped, and empowered to face their challenges with more hope and peace.
