David Edgar is an accomplished educator currently serving as an English and History Faculty member at The Loomis Chaffee School since July 2020. With experience teaching grades 9 to 12 in subjects such as English, History, and Religious Studies, David has also coached a competitive Model United Nations team, directed theatrical productions, and led multi-day student trips. Previous roles include a history teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools and a proctor for gifted students at the Vanderbilt Summer Academy. David's commitment to teaching was recognized with the Teacher of the Year award for 2023/24. David holds a Master of Education from Vanderbilt Peabody College and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, complemented by further studies at the Arabic Language Institute in Fez and the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
