Montserrat Venegas is currently serving as an LBYCC Mayor's Office Intern with the City of Long Beach, having started in September 2024, where skills in professional networking and communication are being developed. Prior experience includes roles as a Guest Services Representative at Birch Aquarium, a Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego, and participation in internships focused on public health at the UC San Diego School of Medicine and innovation at the UC San Diego Office of Innovation and Commercialization. Montserrat has also contributed as a College Readiness Coach for high school students and a mentor within educational programs, all while pursuing an MA in Global Health and holding a BS in both Global Health and Education Sciences from UC San Diego. Montserrat's educational background also includes multiple Associate of Arts degrees from the Los Angeles Community College District in various disciplines.
