David Phoenix currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at London Higher and as Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer at London South Bank University, a leader in professional and technical education. Previously, David held the position of Director at The National Centre for Universities and Business and was the Director of the Science Museum Group from 2015 to 2023, where involvement included roles such as Deputy Chair and Chair of the Advisory Board for the Museum of Science and Industry. Davidā€™s extensive academic career includes serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President at the University of Central Lancashire, where significant achievements included strategic planning, overseeing QS World Rankings, and establishing international research initiatives. With a foundational role in launching innovative academic programs, David has also contributed to various educational bodies and committees. David holds an M.B.A. from The Open University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool.
