Kecia M. Thomas is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Currently serving as a Trustee at Bucknell University and a Contributor for Forbes Online, Kecia holds the position of Dean at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since August 2020. Prior roles include Senior Associate Dean at the University of Georgia's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences from September 2014 to August 2020, and Founding Director of the Center for Research & Engagement in Diversity, where Kecia led initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion. With a long-standing career at the University of Georgia since 1993, including a role as Professor of I/O Psychology, Kecia has significantly contributed to diversity leadership and faculty affairs across various academic settings. Kecia earned a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Penn State University and a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Bucknell University.
