Ștefan R. has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Ștefan started their career at ITNT as a Software Editor in 2006. Ștefan then transitioned to the role of Web Developer, handling PHP backend development and occasionally frontend development. After that, they became a Systems Administrator, where they designed the web infrastructure and migrated to AWS. In 2012, they took on the role of Head of Engineering, responsible for technical decisions, web infrastructure maintenance, automation, and procurement.

In 2015, Ștefan joined Anatwine as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on AWS automation, CloudFormation, Chef, Docker, and Ruby. Ștefan developed an automation framework for CloudFormation using cloudformation-ruby-dsl to maintain stacks as Ruby code. Ștefan also worked on a Virtual Private Cloud architecture with AWS AutoScaling, used Chef for configuration management, and employed various AWS services, such as S3, ELB, and Route53. Ștefan built a continuous integration system for infrastructure code and utilized Jenkins, RPM packages, and Chef for continuous delivery. Additionally, they implemented security measures like VPN services and distributed Active Directory infrastructure.

In 2018, Ștefan joined Okta, starting as a Managed Services Engineer and later transitioning to the role of Senior DevOps and Security Engineer for Auth0's Private Cloud. Ștefan contributed to the build, orchestration, and configuration of Auth0's Private Cloud product, with a focus on identifying and resolving security issues. Ștefan also served as an escalation point for the Managed Services Engineering team.

Most recently, in 2023, Ștefan joined Loctax as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Ștefan played a crucial role in obtaining ISO 27001:2022 certification for Loctax and acted as the IT Manager in the context of ISMS/ISO 27001. Ștefan implemented security controls to maintain compliance and ensure successful ISO 27001 tests.

Ștefan R. completed their education in Mathematics and Computer Science at Universitatea "Lucian Blaga" Sibiu. Ștefan obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in this field from 2003 to 2007, followed by a Master of Science degree from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications, including "Learning Threat Modeling for Security Professionals" from LinkedIn in March 2020, "Offensive Security Wireless Professional" from Offensive Security Ltd. in October 2014, and "Offensive Security Certified Professional" from Offensive Security Ltd. in November 2013.
