Marcela Montes has over 14 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Marcela began their career in 2006 as an Auditor Staff at Deloitte. In 2008, they worked as an Asistente at MGM Asesores. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Sanmina-SCI as a Financial Analyst Team Leader Fixed Assets, where they were responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and controlling records of fixed assets and construction in process according to US GAAP. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Patrón Spirits Company, where they held roles as an Especialista de Costos y Presupuestos, Jefe de Tesorería, and Analista de Activos Fijos. In 2017, Marcela joined Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico as Subgerente de Planeación Financiera. Marcela currently serves as the Head of Finance and Accounting at LocalAdventures.

Marcela Montes obtained a degree in Contaduria from Universidad Panamericana between 2003 and 2007. Marcela then went on to obtain a Maestria en Finanzas from the same university between 2014 and 2017.
