Jesse Voremberg hails from Brooklyn where he lives in a sea of concrete and constantly longs for days out on pasture. His passion for farming grew from several international volunteering stints on farms, and truly blossomed after a yearlong livestock apprenticeship at Glynwood in the Hudson Valley. Following a seven-month foray into whole animal butchery, he switched gears and put on a white collar. Currently working for Happy Valley Meat Company, whose mission is to improve the lives of the people and animals that feed people, he spends most of his days talking to chefs about why they shouldn't use commodity meat. At Local Farms Fund, Jesse uses his experience working within the local food system, to spread the word about the work LFF does for farmers, their communities, and land. When not talking to people about meat or impact investing, you can find Jesse in the rock climbing gym or at the movies.
