Gene Rohrwasser has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer at Blackboard. Then, from 2014 to 2016, they served as an Assistant Vice President, Software Engineer at Bank of America, specializing in cyber security. Gene was later promoted to Vice President, Software Engineering Manager, leading an agile development team at Bank of America from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they took on the role of Vice President, Software Engineering Organization Leader at Bank of America, overseeing the development and maintenance of consumer online and mobile banking applications. In 2019, Gene joined Zerv Inc as the Head of Engineering, responsible for developing access control technology. Currently, since December 2021, they work as the VP of Engineering at Passport, where they lead the development of core web, mobile, payments, and data platforms.
Gene Rohrwasser has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Business, from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Additionally, in October 2016, Gene obtained a Black Belt Certification in Cyber Security from Cigital, Inc. (A Part of Synopsys).
