Little Words Project is looking for a Product Design Intern to support our design team in creating and developing new accessories and products that align with our mission and brand aesthetic. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to product design from concept through execution, collaborating closely with the design and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation of mood boards, sketches, technical specifications, and product mock-ups to visually communicate design concepts to the team.
• Research and source materials, trims, and components for new products, ensuring they align with the brand's quality standards and aesthetic.
• Contribute to the design and presentation of product packaging, hangtags, and labels, ensuring consistency with the brand identity.
• Analyze competitor products and current design trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Participate in design reviews, providing feedback and offering creative solutions to enhance product features, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Support the organization of design files, maintain design archives, and manage samples and prototypes for internal review and approval.

Qualifications:

• Must be a 3rd or 4th-year college student majoring in design, product design, or fashion design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail with an understanding of both aesthetic design and functionality.
• Ability to clearly articulate design ideas through sketches, mood boards, and presentations.
• High degree of professionalism, including confidentiality and a collaborative work ethic.
• Ability to work in-office from our Mountainside, NJ location 3-4 days per week.
