Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority exists to preserve and replenish the environment by reclaiming our most valuable resource, water. The collection and treatment services protect both public health and the environment.

LRWRA is responsible for inspecting and maintaining approximately 1,400 miles of sewer; 32,000 manholes; and serves a population of approximately 200,000.

LRWRA is overseen jointly by the Chief Executive Officer and the Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission, which is comprised of seven members. These citizens are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors.

The Engineering and Technical Services team at Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority (LRWRA) is responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of the water reclamation process. This includes maintaining and optimizing infrastructure such as sewers, manholes, and treatment plants. The team ensures that the systems operate efficiently and safely to protect public health and the environment. They also handle infrastructure projects, asset management, and technological implementation to support the authority’s mission of reclaiming water resources.
