Saad Ahmed is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at LiquidPiston since January 2017, with experience in engine component design, structural and thermal finite element analysis (FEA), and engineering drawings, including GD&T. Notable accomplishments include the development of a clean sheet engine concept layout, integrating inputs from the simulation team. Previous roles include internships at SIGNAL PROCESSING GROUP INC., where PCB layout and hardware development for IoT devices were undertaken; Sensata Technologies, focusing on new pressure sensors for automotive applications; and Autodesk, serving as a Student Expert in Fusion 360. Saad also gained teaching experience at the University of Massachusetts Amherst through roles such as Matlab Programming Instructor and 3D Printing Student Assistant, while obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honors from the same institution.
