Matt Leadbeater's work experience begins in 2008 at PwC, where they worked as an Associate and later a Senior Associate in Assurance and Advisory until 2011. In 2012, they pursued an MBA at IESE Business School and graduated in 2014. During their MBA, they completed an internship in Brand and Commercial Marketing at Bacardi in 2013.
After completing their MBA, Leadbeater joined Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2014 as a Digital Marketing Manager, later moving on to roles such as Brand Manager for Budweiser, Senior Brand Manager for Corona and Stella Artois Europe, and Marketing Manager for Budweiser. From 2019 to 2021, Leadbeater served as the Marketing Director for Budweiser and Bud Light Europe.
In 2021, Leadbeater co-founded the DTC brand OtherNatureā¢, working as the Co-Founder and Commercial Director. Matt launched the brand in New Zealand and Australia and developed key aspects of the business, including branding, commercial strategy, and sustainability frameworks. Leadbeater also participated in two start-up accelerator programs and received mentorship and pre-seed investment.
Currently, Leadbeater is the Strategy and Insights Director at Lion, where they are responsible for brand, portfolio, and insight strategies. Matt has played a vital role in revamping the strategic planning process, identifying key consumer platforms for growth, and driving the company's digital transformation strategy. Matt is also completing an executive program at Harvard Business School.
Matt Leadbeater has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IESE Business School and another MBA degree from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Matt also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. Additionally, they have obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).
