Liminal is a research, design and consultancy group that uses a multi-disciplinary approach to tackle the challenges that lie ahead for the Italian countryside in the coming century. Liminal is made up of experts and professionals in the fields of sustainable development, urban planning, architecture, landscape, economics, data-analytics and law. 
Liminal works with local communities, private agencies and government authorities to reimagine the future of rural communities in Italy struggling with depopulation, disinvestment, degrading infrastructure, and mounting environmental stresses. We partner with committed stakeholder–large and small–to catalyze actionable changes that can transform the future of these territories through research, design and consultancy. 
By employing an innovative multi-disciplinary approach grounded on an understanding of the spatial and material realities of these places, we believe we can make a unique contribution to the decision-making processes that are shaping them.
