Avigail Kaner has a diverse work experience in the field of research and education. Avigail started their career as a Lecturer at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo in 2014, where they taught for two years. In 2017, they joined the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment as a Research Specialist. Avigail worked there for four years before transitioning to become a Teacher at the Davidson Institute of Science Education in the same year. Avigail continued in this role until 2020. In 2021, they joined Autonomous Pivot as a Researcher, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they are employed at LightSolver as a Theoretical Researcher, starting in December 2022.
Avigail Kaner began their education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2000 and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics & Philosophy. Avigail pursued further studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from 2004 to 2006. Avigail then continued their academic journey at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics, Bioengineering from 2006 to 2014. In 2015, they ventured into a different field and completed a Postgraduate Degree in Soil and Water Sciences at Gilat Center, Agricultural Research Organization, Volcani Center.
