Dante Smith is an accomplished lighting designer with extensive experience in theatrical and event design. Since December 2019, Dante has served as a full-time Lighting Designer at The Lighting Design Group, currently assigned as the lighting director at CNN. As a consultant through Dante Olivia Smith since 2004, projects have included corporate events, fundraising galas, and private celebrations. Notable contributions as Producing Director for the Pandora's Box Project include advocacy for women's reproductive health. Previous roles include Faculty Designer at Saint Ann's School and Teaching Artist with the Roundabout Theatre Company. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts.
