Shelley Tan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Shelley began their career in 1996 as a Sales Executive at Advanced Web Technologies, s.r.o. Shelley then moved on to KapaK Foods Limited in 2001, where they worked as a National Account Sales Manager until 2005. Shelley then joined Lifeway Foods, Inc. in 2005 and held various roles, including Central Region Sales Director and National Director Retail Sales, Execution & Trade Relations. In 2018, they briefly worked at Karoun Dairies as a National Accounts employee before returning to Lifeway Foods, Inc. in 2019 as a Sales Director, specializing in Specialty and Conventional sales.

Shelley Tan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Dakota College, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.
