Md Shadab Alam began their professional career in 2015 as a Research Intern at Jadavpur University, where they worked under Prof. Amitava Gupta and was trained on various aspects of real-time simulation. Md Shadab developed a module for integrating OpalRT based simulator platform with a real-time controller using physical analog input-output channels for their ongoing research projects. In 2017, they joined LifeSignals Group as an Engineer, where they were promoted to Staff Engineer and then Senior Staff Engineer.

Md Shadab Alam completed their Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand in 2016. Prior to that, they attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Supaul from 2005 to 2010.
