Alexander Gerner has worked in the software development field since 2004. Alexander began their career as a Consultant at VeriSign, followed by a Consultant role at Fidelity Investments in 2005. In 2006, they became a Technical Lead at Wolters Kluwer - Financial Services Solutions, where they designed and led the development and implementation of a commercialized product used to assist the company's institutional customers in complying with the requirements of Section 326, Title 3 of the USA PATRIOT Act. From 2008 to 2010, they held the role of Senior Software Developer at Oco, Inc. and Plymouth Rock Assurance, respectively. In 2011, they became an Associate Fellow IT Enterprise Developer at Parexel, where they designed and led the development of a universal web services-based system. In 2020, they joined Life Image as a Principal Software Developer L3, and in 2022 they began working as a Sr. Software Developer at Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI).

Alexander Gerner attended the Moscow Technological Institute in Moscow, Russia, where they obtained a Combined MS and BS in Computer Science.
