Brian Deffaa is the current CMO at LifeBridge Health. Prior to joining LifeBridge, Brian served as the Group Vice President of Mortgage Marketing at SunTrust from May 2016 to March 2018. In this role, Brian was responsible for leading direct-to-consumer mortgage marketing and customer experience strategy and execution for SunTrust Mortgage nationally.
Before joining SunTrust, Brian was with Capital One from June 2013 to December 2015 as the Sr. Brand Manager for Rewards Strategy, US Card. In this role, Brian was responsible for long-term rewards strategy and positioning, marketing and horizontal platform implementation; this included ongoing measurement and development across Capital One's US Card organization.
Prior to their time with Capital One, Brian served as the Sr. Manager of Small Business Market Dev. & Customer Experience at Best Buy from May 2012 to May 2013. In this role, Brian was responsible for full experience strategy and small business (1-20 FTE) customer development for Best Buy, including customer needs identification & segmentation, brand development ("GeekSquad Business Solutions"), value proposition development & testing, P&L modeling, go-to-market planning & management, experience satisfaction & brand engagement, and phased strategic & revenue planning.
Brian Deffaa holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Wake Forest University School of Business with a concentration in brand marketing and advertising. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in political science and government from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
Brian Deffaa reports to Neil Meltzer, President & CEO. They work with Laura Callahan - VP & Chief Compliance Officer, Adam Rosenberg - VP, Violence Prevention and Intervention, and James Chambers - AVP, Environmental and Nutritional Services.
