Gene Michtchenko has extensive experience in the field of technology and engineering. Gene has worked in various roles and companies, starting with their current position as Lead Platforms Engineer at Life Time Inc. where they focus on Azure and AWS cloud engineering, automation with Chef, and Linux OS administration. Prior to that, they served as a Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer at Merrill Corporation, contributing to cloud automation projects. Before that, Gene worked as a Solutions Consultant at Intris Trade, where they led the development of a new product platform called GARANT for seed planting control and monitoring systems. Gene was responsible for managing a team of developers and providing architectural direction. In 2014, Gene founded Agile GPS LLC, a startup company that provides GPS tracking solutions for vehicles and assets. Gene also worked as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Best Buy, where they specialized in NoSQL technologies and automation scripting through Puppet. Earlier in their career, Gene held multiple roles at Target, including Security Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Associate Engineer, gaining experience in a variety of technology-related areas. Gene also served as a Statistical Consultant at Schneider National / University of Minnesota, a Web Developer at Chriwa Umwelt Systemtechnik & Service GmbH in Germany, and a Networking Technician at REA-ALP Internet Service Provider. Gene's work experience demonstrates their expertise in cloud engineering, automation, technology architecture, and development.

Gene Michtchenko holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Management and Technology from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota Morris, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Gene also has an Associate's Degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Alexandria Technical and Community College, which they completed from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Gene also obtained several certifications including Cassandra Administrator from DataStax in 2015, GSEC - Security Essentials from the SANS Institute in 2012, and CCNA from Cisco in 2001.
