Mathias Berndt has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on radiopharmaceutical discovery and development. Mathias has held various leadership positions, including VP Chemical R&D and Manufacturing at Life Molecular Imaging since 2018, where they are responsible for managing manufacturing, network expansion, and technical development of new radiopharmaceuticals. Prior to this, they worked as the Sr. Director Chemical R&D at Piramal Enterprises Limited from 2012 to 2018 and Global Drug Discovery, Radiopharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry at Bayer HealthCare from 2006 to 2012. Mathias started their career as a Research Associate at Helmholtz-zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf from 2004 to 2006, focusing on PET probe development and labeling methods.

Mathias Berndt completed their education with two degrees. From 1994 to 1999, they attended Technische Universität Dresden, where they obtained a Diploma in Chemistry. Following this, from 1999 to 2003, they pursued their studies at Freie Universität Berlin and achieved a Dr.rer.nat. in Organic Chemistry.
