Jonathan Barney has a diverse work history, starting as a Manuscript Processor at Utah State University in 2003. Jonathan then served as a Research Assistant at the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship in 2004, followed by a role as a Geographic Materials Cataloguer at Princeton University in 2005. In 2006, Jonathan was a Web Content Manager at The More Good Foundation and an Executive Assistant at Mosaic Foundation. From 2008 to 2021, they held multiple roles at LAC Group, such as a Library Technician, Cataloger, Project Manager, Client Engagement Manager, Proposal Manager, and eventually as the Vice President of Capture and Proposal Development. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Capture and Proposal Development at Library Systems & Services, LLC. Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated expertise in library sciences, project management, client engagement, and proposal development.
Jonathan Barney completed their Bachelor of Arts in History, Classics, and Linguistics at Utah State University in 2004. Jonathan then pursued Graduate Work in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at Princeton University from 2004 to 2006. Jonathan obtained a Certificate in Arabic Language and Literature from The American University in Cairo in 2003. Jonathan furthered their education by earning a Master of Library & Information Science with a focus on Archives/Archival Administration from the University of Maryland from 2009 to 2011.
