Michael Bell is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine. Currently serving as the ED Medical Director at Nantucket Cottage Hospital since March 2020 and as Chief Medical Officer at Liberty Bay Recovery since September 2019, Michael has held various leadership roles including Emergency Physician at BlueWater Emergency Partners since August 2011. Previous positions include Chief of Emergency Medicine at Down East Community Hospital and Director of Emergency Medicine at Calais Regional Hospital. From May 2018 to January 2024, Michael held the position of Emergency Department Medical Director at Houlton Regional Hospital. Earlier in the career, emergency medicine roles were fulfilled at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Redington Fairview General Hospital. Michael obtained an MD from The University of New Mexico School of Medicine and a BA in Psychology with a focus on premedicine from Northwestern University.
