Seamus Laprell is a seasoned Process Engineer with extensive experience in manufacturing concepts and facility planning, currently employed at Leybold since November 2021. Prior to this role, Seamus served as a Junior Process Engineer at SCHUMAG AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT, where leadership in product and process engineering was demonstrated. Seamus has a strong background in project management with a focus on 5-axis grinding machines during tenure at Schütte Schleiftechnik GmbH, alongside expertise in medical applications and process optimization in various global locations. Earlier experiences include roles at Elb-Schliff Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH and Element Six, emphasizing technology development and grinding technology. Seamus holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Manufacturing Technology from RWTH Aachen University, achieved in 2013.
