April Watts has extensive experience in managing workers' compensation claims, currently serving as the Workers' Compensation Claims Manager at Lexington Medical Center since May 2011. In this role, April oversees claims for over 8,000 employees under a self-insurance program and coordinates Excess Insurance and Buffer policies along with Third Party Administrator services. Prior to this position, April worked as a Paralegal at Atkins Law Firm, P.A., managing claimant files and coordinating benefits, and as a Workers' Comp Specialist/Legal Assistant at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where April managed workers’ compensation and employment files. April holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Amberton University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Walden University.
