Mark Verheyen has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Mark has held various senior positions in different companies. From 2018 to present, Verheyen has served as the Chief Actuary at Lexington Insurance Company where they are responsible for pricing, reserving, and loss analysis. Prior to that, they worked at CNA Insurance from 2008 to 2017, where they held roles such as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and Vice President of Economic Capital. Verheyen also had experience at Travelers and R K Carvill, where they worked in roles related to pricing, reinsurance, and risk analysis. Earlier in their career, they worked at EY in consulting actuarial roles. Verheyen has a strong background in actuarial science and risk management.
Mark Verheyen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, attending from 1988 to 1992. In addition to their degree, Mark has obtained additional certifications, including an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst from the Society of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society from the Casualty Actuarial Society.
