Emanuel Corps-Ortiz has a diverse work experience history. In 2016, they began working as a Resident Advisor for the University of Virginia Housing and Residence Life, where they focused on creating a welcoming community and enforcing rules and policies. In the same year, they also took on a position as a Supervisor for University Transit Service, where they ensured smooth operations and handled any issues that arose.

In 2017, Corps-Ortiz became an Office Assistant for Ferguson Walton & Shansab, PLLC, where they provided general office support. Emanuel also started working as a Basketball Official for the Cardinal Basketball Officials Association, a role they held until 2020.
