Ellen Broome currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the British Dyslexia Association since September 2024 and is also a Trustee at Leukaemia UK since December 2022. Previously, Ellen was the Managing Director of CoramBAAF and Coram Family & Childcare from February 2021 to September 2024. Additional roles include Director of Children and Families at NatCen Social Research (November 2019 - February 2021), Chief Executive and Director of Programmes and External Affairs at the Family and Childcare Trust (January 2014 - December 2018), and various positions at The Children's Society, The National Autistic Society, and Hill & Knowlton. Ellen's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Exeter.
