Zakkary McNutt, PhD, is an accomplished NGS Scientist at LetsGetChecked since March 2022, with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, where research focused on the anti-Shine Dalgarno sequence in Bacteroidetes, notably uncovering a novel mechanism of translational autoregulation. Additionally, Zakkary worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, providing guidance in molecular microbiology techniques to students. Zakkary also has experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire, investigating symbiotic relationships between actinorhizal plants and actinobacteria. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of New Hampshire.
