Tim Meerhof has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Tim began their career at Stichting Xmotion as a Begeleider logeerweekenden voor kinderen met een gedragsgerelateerde stoornis. In 2010, they joined ProDemos - Huis voor democratie en rechtsstaat as a Medewerker Projectorganisatie and Begeleider Educatieve Programma's. In 2013, they joined Open State Foundation as a Web and App Developer, where they had experience with various frameworks. In 2016, they joined LessonUp as a Software Engineer and eventually became the Lead Software Engineer.

Tim Meerhof completed their secondary education at Groen van Prinstererlyceum from 1998 to 2004, studying VWO, Natuur en Techniek. Tim then attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2004 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Tim also attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2011 to 2013, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Sociology, Grootstedelijke Vraagstukken en Beleid. During this time, they also studied at Keio University from 2008 to 2009.
