Kelly Richardson

Physical Education Teacher/athletic Director at Leona Group Schools

Kelly Richardson has a diverse work experience in the education and sports sectors. Kelly most recently worked as a Physical Education Teacher/Athletic Director at Leona Group Arizona, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Substitute Teacher at Chandler Unified School District from December 2021 to June 2022, where they followed lesson plans, managed classes effectively, and adapted teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Kelly also interned as a Physical Education Teacher at Chandler Unified School District from January 2022 to April 2022, where they wrote and executed lessons according to state standards and established positive rapport with students and staff.

Additionally, Kelly worked as a Physical Education Long Term Substitute Teacher at Kyrene Elementary School District from April 2022 to May 2022, where they compiled attendance reports, co-taught with other teachers, and provided support to students. Kelly also interned as a Physical Education Teacher at Kyrene Elementary School District from September 2021 to December 2021, where they wrote and executed lessons, implemented curriculum, and gained teaching experience.

Beyond the education field, Kelly worked as a San Diego County Basketball Official at the California Basketball Officials Association from November 2018 to March 2020, adhering to rules and officiating games. Kelly also served as an Athletics Assistant at San Diego Christian College from August 2018 to March 2020, operating video cameras for live streaming, managing the scoreboard, and handling athletic equipment.

Kelly Richardson completed a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching from San Diego Christian College between 2016 and 2019. Kelly then pursued a Teaching Credential Program specializing in Single Subject Physical Education at San Diego Christian College from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they are enrolled in Arizona State University, pursuing a Master's degree in Physical Education with Certification in Secondary Education and Teaching, starting in 2021 and expected to complete in 2023.

Additionally, Kelly has obtained several certifications including "Concussion in Sports Training" from The NFHS Network in July 2022, "Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative" from CITI Program in January 2022, and "CPR, AED & First Aid Certification" from the National CPR Foundation in July 2022.
