Jerry Koonar is a seasoned investment professional with over 19 years of experience in the finance industry. Currently serving as Principal and Portfolio Manager at Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. since June 2011, Jerry manages over $11 billion for a diverse client base including institutions and private clients. Prior to this role, Jerry held the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at DundeeWealth Investment Counsel from April 2009 to June 2011, focusing on discretionary investment management for private clients and institutions. Jerry's career began at HSBC Global Asset Management, where from March 2004 to March 2009, responsibilities included growth and management of the discretionary investment management business in Alberta with a focus on team leadership and asset management. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Calgary, completed in 1993.
