Eelco de Jong

Manager Customer Applications Services at Leiden University

Eelco de Jong currently serves as the Manager of Customer Applications Services at Universiteit Leiden, a position held since October 2015, where responsibilities include establishing a new department to enhance the university's objectives. Prior to this, Eelco acted as the Head of Research & Innovation Support, facilitating scientific research and educational innovation, and as the Manager of the Development department, focusing on service continuity and aligning IT offerings with user needs. Eelco also held the position of Information Manager at PostNL, where strategic vision and planning for information systems were determined, and served as Head of IT and Automation at LUMC, leading a team of IT professionals. Early career experience includes roles as a Policy Officer and Technical Coordinator at the Ministry of Defence, where strategic IT and automation integration for naval systems was key. Eelco's educational background includes a degree in Electrical Engineering and various certifications including a Scrum Master.
