Ehab Shaaban is an experienced professional in privacy and pharmacovigilance, currently serving as Funtionaris Gegevensbescherming/FG/DPO at Leiden University Medical Center since January 2025. Previously held the role of Privacy Officer at CAK from June 2022 to January 2025, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with privacy legislation and improving data handling procedures. At MSD Netherlands, from August 2016 to June 2022, Ehab acted as Business Practices Manager and Privacy Steward, overseeing GDPR compliance and establishing a robust privacy network. Ehab's career also includes roles such as Senior Pharmacovigilance Specialist at Meda Pharma and various positions in pharmacovigilance and marketing at Pfizer and SAL Apotheken. Ehab holds a BSc in Pharmacy from Utrecht University and has academic credentials from Leiden University and Thomas More University.
