Mr. Hoffman has been a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network Board of Trustees since 2019. As Senior Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer for Opens in new tabOptum, he was responsible for the analysis and interpretation of data in support of Optum’s overall market activities and growth. Prior to his role as Chief Analytics Officer, Mr. Hoffman was responsible for Optum’s consulting organization, a business comprising more than 800 professionals focused on facilitating favorable performance and profitable growth for clients while reducing organizational exposure. Mr. Hoffman has more than 30 years of experience in all facets of health insurance and managed care, and has been involved in health care actuarial and consulting engagements across the U.S., the U.K., and Brazil. A credentialed actuary, Mr. Hoffman’s responsibilities have focused on the financial and clinical aspects of health care. He has extensive experience with the delivery and finance of health care services for the private and public sectors, consulting with plan sponsors, payers, providers, provider organizations, and life science companies. In 2010 he was named one of the Top 25 Consultants in the country by Consulting Magazine. Prior to joining Optum, Mr. Hoffman was a partner at Ernst & Young. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics.
