Babak Tourani is an experienced data engineer with a strong background in data pipeline design, data modeling, and infrastructure management, currently serving as a Principal Data Engineer at DICE since June 2023. Previously, Babak held the same title at iTech Media, where responsibilities included managing Snowflake environments and AWS infrastructure using Terraform, as well as promoting Snowflake and SQL technologies. Babak's career includes roles at Vonage, where development of data pipelines from various sources to Snowflake was a key focus, and UBS, where Oracle database engineering and performance tuning were essential. Earlier experience includes positions at Société Générale and Actix, highlighting consistent expertise in database development and analytics. Babak holds an MSc in Database Systems from the University of Westminster and a BSc in Telecommunications from Iran University of Science & Technology.
