Rebecca Whedon is a Tenant Rights Coalition Staff Attorney at Legal Services NYC, specializing in representing low-income tenants facing eviction and pursuing building-wide affirmative litigation for necessary repairs and against landlord harassment. Notably, Rebecca has experience as a Student Clinician at Brooklyn Law School, where a significant case involved defending a client against the termination of parental rights due to the client's intellectual and developmental disability. Previous roles include research related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public safety, legal advocacy on issues such as police funding and immigration rights at various organizations, and capacity-building experiences in management and language instruction.
