Victor Dods has had a long and varied career in software engineering. Victor began their career in 2003 at TKO Software, where they worked as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they were responsible for profiling and improving multiplayer network performance, designing and implementing a multiplayer scoreboard, and leading gameplay prototype engineering. In 2005, they moved to VeriSign Inc., where they worked as a Software Engineer. In 2012, they moved to Leap Motion, where they worked as a Mathematician/Software Engineer. While there, they conducted algorithm research and implementation, and devised and implemented image-based gesture recognition. In 2015, they began working as a Consulting Mathematical Engineer at Fullpower. Finally, in 2016, they became the Chief Software Architect at LedgerDomain, an enterprise blockchain company.

Victor Dods obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz between 2010 and 2013. Victor had previously earned their M.A. in Mathematics from the same university between 2008 and 2010. Victor also attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2000 to 2003, although no degree was obtained.
