Mik Godley is an artist and educator with extensive experience in contemporary visual art and fine art education. Since 2010, Mik has served as the owner of Mik's Front Room & Studio at Primary, a visual art initiative fostering collaboration and experimentation among artists. At Chesterfield College, Mik has been a Fine Art lecturer since 1990, teaching various subjects including life drawing and painting to foundation and pre-degree students. Mik is also known for the ongoing art project "Considering Silesia," which explores themes of cultural memory, identity, and migration. Additional roles include directing Nottingham Studios Ltd from 2003 to 2015 and serving as a lecturer at Leeds College of Art and as a visiting lecturer at De Montfort University and Staffordshire University for Business. Mik holds multiple degrees, including an M.A. with distinction in New Technologies in the Visual Arts from Nottingham Trent University, reflecting a strong academic foundation in creative practices.
